Or, perhaps, many lives.
I'm quite serious.
If you do nothing else this evening, read gildareed's just-posted diary, take the action it urges on us all, and recommend it so everyone else on dailykos can do the same. Here's why:
- You'll be stopping Bush's scheme to revise the National Response Plan.
- You'll be renewing attention to the outrageous injustice STILL being suffered by our brothers and sisters in the Gulf Coast, Louisiana, and the magnificent city of New Orleans.
- You'll be saving lives, literally, because Bush's revision of the NRP is a recipe for death. (Yes, another death recipe from this administration. Wearying, isn't it?)
- In fact, as the old slogan put it:
The life you save may be your own.
Thank you. If Shirley Chisholm was right that "service is the rent we pay for room on this earth," reading gildareed's diary and acting on it will pay your rent tonight.
